Pregnant in Glasgow? Check out our maternity client closet!
If you’re currently pregnant, one of the things on your to-do list before you give birth should be your maternity photoshoot! It’s such an important milestone for you and your family, not to mention a relatively fleeting time in your life too. If you’re here in Glasgow, you’ll be happy to hear that we have a range of beautiful maternity gowns and fabrics ready to use for your pregnancy shoot, taking the stress out of what to wear!
Fitted maternity dresses are flattering on all shapes and sizes, and help to draw attention to your baby bump! For those who prefer to cover more of their skin, this black dress is a winner (and I also have it in pink – a popular choice for girl mamas!) But if you’d like to try something more transparent to really show off those curves, why not go for the figure-hugging white lace?
If you prefer something more floaty than fitted, how about these stunning options? First up is this lilac gown – it’s one of the more transparent dresses but that’s part of it’s appeal! You can still show off that belly bump in a more subtle way without feeling too exposed.
The peach lace is a little less see-through, but not completely opaque either – somewhere in between, and just a gorgeous material with a vintage feel to it!
Maybe you fancy more of a boho look... I love this skirt and wrap combo which allows your bump to be fully on show! Why not pair it with one of our floral halos for a pop of colour? This outfit is perfect for a close-up/details photograph too :-)
The red is one of my absolute favourites and I’ve yet to meet someone who doesn’t look amazing in this dress! It’s versatile because you can either have your bump and leg peeking through the front slit, or you can hold it closed if you prefer – it looks beautiful either way!
If you’re not really a dress person, why not try a simple alternative like one of our bodysuits? This black off the shoulder one is a favourite among my clients!
Perhaps you'd like to incorporate a more casual feel in some of your portraits. In that case, why not bring along a pair of jeans or leggings? Pair this with a simple bra, crop top, shirt or blouse and there we have a whole new look!
I also have a range of fabrics such as lace, chiffon, tulle and silk and I love to get creative with these! They can be used for draping, layering or tossing for different effects, and they always create stunning timeless photographs. Here’s some ideas for how they can be used:
For those who are feeling comfortable enough to ditch the dresses and fabrics for a more natural or nude look – the results speak for themselves. It really draws attention to the magic that is happening within your body!
Most of my clients change things up for a few different looks during their maternity photoshoot, and it’s a great way to get more variety in your gallery. If you’ve been thinking about booking a session, use the button below to fill in the contact form to enquire – I can’t wait to hear from you!
